Nutrition of immunosuppressed patients!

Some groups of patients suffer from serious illnesses or chronic conditions that influence their immune system a lot.

● cancer (especially for people receiving chemotherapy)

● organ transplantation

● HIV/AIDS

● alcoholism

● diabetes

Special food or preparation of food can lead to serious complications.

Did you ever had a patient – who is about to start with his chemotherapy –

who asked you:

Can I go on with my breakfast which contains a soft-boiled egg and fresh squeezed Orange Juice?

Would you be sure about your answer?

Whether YES or NO:

You should look up some information about this topic please go to the summary of Health Canada!
